stretching picture on horizontal games
« on: December 16, 2008, 04:37:26 am »
I'm looking into buying an 22" widescreen samsung monitor for my new project. With that in mind, I want it to stretch the image on horizontal games, to fill as much as the screen as possible - but keep vertical games at 5:4. Is that possible?

I'm using mamewah as frontend and mameui32.

If you stretch your picture it'll be distorted.  Keep that in mind.

Yes, and that is why I don't want my vertical games to stretch. I can live with my horizontal games stretched to full screen. But is there an easy way to do this, other than making 2 lists in mamewah, pointing to two versions of mame - one with no forced aspect and one with 5:4?
