Hi-Score Resetting

I'm currently using a MAME build that keeps high scores but it used to be possible in MAME to keep a games top scores when you press F3 reset, but now it clears it.

Is there a MAME build that doesn't do this?

Right. Current mame does reset the scores when doing a hard reset.
