Indy 800 spotted
« on: December 08, 2008, 06:20:10 pm »
Browsing the usual Craigs postings, I spotted someone selling off a bunch of cabs from their private collection. Unfortunately, I'm not able to pick up on any of his sales (unexpected home repair involving copper pipes, termites and the toilet) so have at it for anyone who can.

So looking at his cabinets and drooling over the Major Havoc, I spotted an Indy 800.

This is actually one of the cabs I would like to have if for no other reason than as a conversation piece. I seriously thought there were no collectors with this cab. I'm just floored that someone actually owns this cab. It doesn't look like it works though. Too bad, would've been interesting to see it functioning. To avoid unwanted linkage, check the bubbles_cabaret files. It's in the background.

Wow. That thing looked pretty trashed. I didn't think much of it till I saw it on KLOV. That looks pretty sweet for its time. Too bad very few people have the floor space for one of those things. 16 ft2!!

Aren't they CUTE! Look at Bubbles. Shows how much of an improvement art on the front makes. Makes me want to add some custom front art to my Robotron.

WOW!

Wasn't there somebody here or on KLOV who was desperately searching for one ?

And those Williams cabarets are works of freaking art. Beeyooteefull!

EDIT: Thank to RayB for linking the picture -- that is just awesome.

Thats funny, as about an hour ago I commented in another thread about how much i love pac/glaxian and mspac/galaga cabs next to each other due to the uniform shape. My OCD is loving williams caberet cabs at the moment.  ;D

Well, those are cabarets. They look nice, yes, but uprights aren't the same. Also, especially in that Robotron, seems the bezel is narrower. That Star Trek is almost perfect. Nice to see the Major Havok is fully functioning. Also don't remember that bezel and marquee for Crazy Climber. Rare, perhaps?
