Tovis MTG-1901CN Happs Vison Pro

I gotta ask because it's bugging me now ..... finished wiring up a JAMMA cocktail for a fella and the dang monitor won't degauss. Now this is a nice clean cocktail cab, new wiring, new pcb, new monitor and it's getting delivered in the morning, so it sucks I couldn't really look into as why it wasn't degaussing properly very much.
Anyways, enough rant..... I was more curious as to if anyone else had problems with the degauss circuit on the TOVIS MTG-XX01CN series monitors, which I believe are the Happs Vision Pro series.

The thermistor R801 which is a 180M290 was getting hot, but no degauss action whatsoever. Nothing, nada, not even a twitch.
The coil itself was stone cold.

Of course the monitor works beautifully otherwise.

I didn't get a chance to pull anything off the chassis to get any measurements. But I'm guessing the thermistor is at fault.

Anyone know if this is a common problem on these chassis?
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.
