windows problems
« on: June 19, 2003, 12:51:18 pm »
Hi!

This might be hard to explain, but after I exit Mamewah or any other program and go back to the desktop I have to click on the desktop to use my Joystick to go up and down through the icons.

This is a problem because I don't have a trackball on my control panel and use the icons on the desktop to select my game. It sucks having to use the mouse all the time.

Any Ideas? (I'd love to put in a trackball but dont have the funds right now :) )
Thanks!

If you have a tab key on your control panel, try hitting that a few times.  It may work...  i'm pretty sure it used to in Win98.  Eventually the My Computer icon gets "highlighted" after 2 or 3 tabs.

setup a frontend that can launch everything you want to play (basically replace the desktop icons with it) and then either have it load at startup or replace the windows shell with it.

So why don't you report that to the moderators?

If you're sporting an iPac, simply use  the shift function to tab.  By default, it's shift (1p) left.
