NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!  Please say this is a joke.  There are a finite amount of these things in the world.  Why didn't you MAME something that was either generic or totally destroyed?  I'm sure you could have found someone to trade cabs with you.

When I first opened this post and saw that first pic I thought "Wow, what a great looking cab!" then I scrolled down.....

It is your cab and your money. However, the wording, the pictures...it all comes across a bit taunting.  You first say the cab is an 8/10 and even the pictures show how nice it looked:

Quote
shame, its condition was around 8/10,if there had been a restorer who got their hands on this they would surely have restored it

(regardless of your backtracking later in the thread). You say stuff about the boards now being "gone" when they could have been salvaged/sold/traded etc.

It is hard to convey tone with words, which is why I think its extra important to take a few minutes to read your post and think how it might come across to others. To me it really reads like you are flaunting the destruction of this cab, even if that wasn't your intent.

Something to think about.

I am so sad :'(

i've seen people mame classics like that, but this is just sad.  i understand that finding the boards and monitors and things can be difficult and expensive, you could have set it up with a pc and mame, but left the cabinet intact, so it could be restored later.....you my friend just raped a classic

Owwww, yeah you kind of destroyed the best part of the cabinet : the art. Now you have a white fridge with dinged corners.
