I put out an All Points Bulletin
« on: November 29, 2008, 03:49:48 am »
Thanks to KLOV member Dokert,  my A.P.B. is up and running!  Mr. Dokert was kind enough to ask an OP friend of his if he happened to have a medium resolution monitor laying around for sale.  Guess what?  He did!  It's a K4900 medium res pulled from a Championship Sprint.  It's a bit burned,  but too bad...and it WORKS...well,  mostly.  For some reason I can not get the picture further left (down if the monitor was facing horizontally)...

Best of all,  Dokert did me a solid and sold the monitor to me for what he paid for it,  $30!!  That's right...thirty bucks.  He even pulled a bigger solid and packed it up nicely and shipped it DHL for me.  After all was said and done I sent the dude $70.00.

Here's the game ... back to life...  I'm going to likely strip off the side art and replace the chrome t-molding that is chipping.  There is no repro side art....and even if there was,  I doubt I'd want to cough up the dough for it for this particular game.

I'd love to find a seat LOCALLY...but that's not going to happen.  I found a beat up seat for FREE but shipping was like $85.00...and I'd have to scrap the seat itself,  use the metal frame and build a new seat.

Not worth it.

Just found me an APB this week, and did the same as your Frizz and bought it. Side art and Chrome need a bit of work but the game is solid and works, will post some pics in here asap.  :applaud:
