Another newbie question...turning classic consoles into arcades.

I've recently got an obsession with arcades. Ive restored a UMK3 cab with much success. I was wondering how easy it would be to convert my old genesis or my snes into a dedicated cabinet. i disassemled one of my genesis controllers to find a wire for each button plus a ground. im geussing it wouldnt be to hard but i was wanting some input before i tackled a project like this
