Man oh man oh man. I am at my whits end with this situation and I really need some advise.
I've been having some issues with my mouse devices since moving over to Windows XP x64... it's the strangest damn thing... and somewhat hard to explain, but I will do my best.
When I set the mouse pointer to the slowest setting and turn OFF the enhanced pointer setting (as recommended for MAME especially when using GGG's TT2 spinner), this is what happens... if I pull back on the trackball or move to the right, the cursor on the screen moves very slowly...approximately 1" for a complete spin of the trackball. If I push forward on the trackball or move left, the cursor moves VERY FAR and very quick...approximately 5-6" depending...because the SLOWER you move the trackball forward or left, the further it seems to go per distance on the trackball! ALSO, if you move either forward or left, then change direction immediately, it will actually JUMP about 1/4-1/2 inch in the direction originally going before moving in the direction you changed to.
I've noticed that the effect deminishes as I increase the pointer speed on the mouse ... completely disappearing at about the 4th or 5th click (about 40% speed). I've also noticed that the effect completely disappears when you turn on the enhanced pointer setting. That is how I've been getting by, running at the slowest setting with the enhanced pointer setting on. It seems to work decent EXCEPT for (A) Drives on Golden Tee as you get overspin causing drives to get jacked if you put too much in to them, (B) World Class Bowling if you really lay in to it, (C) All spinner games...
All spinner games even with the digital speed at 0, and sensativity at 1, and the mouse set at slowest with enhanced pointer on are still far too sensitive...some games so much so making them unplayable.
Now, some have said that it may be the HAPP trackball (green boards), but to that I ask why it works fine in enhanced mode and/or after a certain speed setting? Also, it worked as intended when I was running Windows XP 32-bit. Sounds like a driver issue or something?!
I've tried to load up logitec mouse drivers but the damn stock 2002 year Windows drivers always load up.... any other suggestion or am I screwed?
