mame v64 full screen question
« on: November 24, 2008, 10:18:16 pm »
I'm using an old pc in my cab.  700mhtz with 192 of ram.  I play mostly classics so don't need much power.  I found the newer versions of mame were really slowing down the classic games.  I decided to use an older command line version of mame and settled on v64.  Everything is going well and I'm playing the classics at full speed with no slow down but I can't seem to get mame to fill the screen completely.  I'm getting black bars on the top, bottom, and sides.  Is this a limitation of older versions of mame or am I missing a setting in the ini?  How can I run at full screen?

You might like to try turning off the "keepaspect" setting in mame.ini (run mame.exe -cc to create it if there isn't one). Not sure if it's there in that old version though.

Thanks for the advice.  I tried it but no luck.  He's my mame.ini. Maybe that will help.
