Most MAME frontends work for multiple emulators. Game Launcher, Mamewah, etc...

Oh wait... the command line requires a number rather than a ROM name, right? I'd have to look into that. You'd have to find a totally text-based FE that allows seperate game names and rom names.

Maybe Mamewah can do it... Come to think of it, I think Game Launcher can too. You've just have to do it manually, but there aren't that many supported games, anyways.

lazarus and dragon king should.  especially with the wrapper you can get many FEs to recognize zinc.

no no no, a specific to zinc front end, not a mame front end... I can have a menu to select between the two... I just need a zinc specific front end...

mame seems to have the monopoly around here, LMFAO...

again, dragon king/lazarus can do it all.  I use mame and zinc in lazarus.

I thought you didn't want a MAME FE?!?! lol

I think it is unlikely, since ArcadeOS is for DOS and ZiNc is for Windows.  I may be wrong though, but I thought the extras for getting ArcadeOS to work with other emu's were a) mainly console emu's, and b) pretty old.

BTW SirP is right, with Howards commandline wrapper (& possibly others) you can get ZiNc to work in most of todays Windows FE's.  You could setup one of these FE's to just use ZiNc if you don't want to see MAME too.  But you said this is for your MAME machine - it makes sense to me to use a FE that can operate both...

Um, my lazarus is setup so zinc is one list, and each main category for mame is a list.  just scroll through the lists.

And it's worth it for strider 2, only game I really play.  Rival Schools is good.

Game Launcher is sooooo easy. It's what I used to use before Mamewah. If you want a good solid FE that can do what you ant without anything fancy... go with Game Launcher.
