MameWah and VirtualNES - Problem
« on: June 18, 2003, 11:53:49 am »
Greets all.

I'm currently having a problem with MameWah 051 and VirtualNES.  When I attempt to start any rom ziped or not I receive the following error...

Error
Don't Open a (rom name) file

Then it proceeds to lock up both MameWah and VirtualNES.

I can run the roms fine if I open them directly with VirtualNES, but it crashes in the front end.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks!

Try running it from an actual commandline first so you know what to aim for in MAMEWAH - then alter the 'Executable Settings' in MAMEWAH to reflect this.  Check DEBUG.LOG in MAMEWAH's folder to see what MAMEWAH is doing.

Thanks,

Fixed it...forgot to turn on "Pass Rom Path" in the options.  Once I did that all was good.

Nice program by the way.

Glad it worked :)

FYI the 'Send ROM Path', 'Send ROM Extension', 'Use Long Filenames' and 'Show DOS BOX' are usually the culprits if an emu is not working.

Cheers
