My motive for the post was to try to make a controller for it but I found out the pinouts so I can hook anything up to them now really but it renders the gba slot useless if the controller is able to plug and unplug.
my goal now is how to make a port on the side so the gba slot is left alone and this way I can plug into the added port with anything I make instead without rendering the gba slot useless.
so far the snes controller is looking the best becuase it has all the same buttons and layout to match the ds lite already.
WHY

holding the DS lite is not very comfortable for me after an hour so I would preffer to set it on the table and play it with a classic controller that never bothered me a bit no matter how long I played

anyone have any idea's for a port or socket that has at least 13 seperate pins?
I know the DB-15 "vga" type plugs would work but I would preffer something like half it's size if possible there is a little room in there to play with but not to much so the smallest possible is the wya to go but it needs at least 13 seperate pins.
maybe somethig like video harness for the arcade monitor pins but alot smaller would work also where it would plug in like a IDE cable for the PC type thing but way smaller
if I can find the right port/socket or whatever male/female plug thing I am going to do it and will make a tutorial if others are interested.
