neo geo and m.a.m.e

cant get alien vs. predator to run says missing neo geo,so i put neo geo bios under roms in mame then put the a vs p rom into the neo geo rom
but does not work...also where can i go to get step by step directions for each emulator and installing roms into them

Take the Alien Vs. Predator ROM out of the Neo Geo Bios ROM (or just get new copies of both).  The bios ROM simple need be in your folder as with any game ROM.

As for step-by-step instructions, unclet had a good guide for setting up emulators within Mala, but even if you don't use Mala it's informative.

I don't recall Aliens vs Predator being a NeoGeo game?

Nope, Capcom.  It still won't do any good in the Neo-Geo bios rom though.  ;D

To the OP, check to make sure your rom is the same version as your MAME (try an older MAME, try a newer ROM version, or vice versa).
