Author Topic: updated catalyst for radeon 7500 now colors bleed on screen please experts help!  (Read 802 times)

  • I want my own arcade controls!
I was curious if anyone has had this problem before where colors mainly red bleeds outside the lines in games and in computer. It really bothers me is there some type of setting or something in paticular i should be looking for to fix this. If you experts can help me out i'd be very gratefull!

oh some information would help.......

i'm runnig raideon 7500
amd 2500+
32" television (this has something to do with it but i don't remember it being so bad before i updated my drivers)

Check brightness and contrast levels.  I have the updated catalyst drivers for my 7500 and there's no problems.

no problem with the drivers here...

do as Odonadon says and tweak the contrast/brightness/colour on yer tv...and you could also adjust the colour in the ATI control panel...

certain colours on my tv also bleed (deep reds and medium blues), but fiddling around with the colour settings has *almost* cleared this up (and it'll be even less noticable with tinted plexi/perspex mounted in front of the tv)

...quick tip for ya...run mame with a game that has noticable colour bleed, then take a snapshot (F12), exit mame, open the snap shot, resisze to full screen, then start adjusting the colours...
least then you've got something to judge the level of bleed...saves you running, closing, rerunning mame...
