High Top Cocktail Cabinet
« on: November 02, 2008, 10:58:45 am »
So my father-in-law has been remodeling his basement with a multitude of different fun games.  It started with a couple of pinball machines that he restored.  Then a month or two ago he purchased a bar sized pool table.  To complete the room I had always recommended an arcade cabinet but after the addition of the pool table there was not much space left.  He had been talking about putting in a high-top pub table for people to sit at and then he came up with the idea of taking a cocktail table and raising the size up to make a high top version.  Throughout everything I have seen I have not seen anyone ever mention a project like this.

My father-in-law started but putting the plans for a Pac-Man cocktail table that we found on www.mikesarcade.com..  He then played around with a few different designs.  As of right now we are still trying to decide on the best design possible.  We are leaning towards a more original looking version that just stretched the height up.  We are also trying to decide on if we should have foot rests or not.  Being a high top table we thought it might be nice for foot rests.

I will post CAD pictures once I get them.  Let me know your thoughts.

I'm always up for seeing something new - a high table with foot rests sounds really cool.
