Newbie question about game boards
«

I have seen arcade game boards for sale and i am wondering if it is feasible to buy a game baord, buy/build a cabinet and get it to work.
Has anyone done this ?
And is it a matter of just hooking up the board to the controls, coin mech. monitor etc ?

May I suggest...
Bob Roberts article: Iwant to build a game
*Shrug* it's a decent outline... assuming you want a game post 1986 that's Jamma compatible... it's much simpler (but not necessarily as fun/challenging) to get a working "empty" JAMMA cabinet and just slide in the appropriate PCB and BAM!
(assuming it isn't a med res game or nintendo or some oddball varient...)
