Cab finally finished
« on: October 28, 2008, 09:30:08 am »
Well, I finally finished my arcade machine and first off I would like to mention a few people I had to deal with for vendor's Andy from Ultimarc, Randy from Groovy Game, Divemaster, and Ponyboy also Scott from Mame Marquees and Mameroom. I would like to thank all these people because even though they are in business you can tell they love this hobby and support it as such. And finally I would like to thank all the members here
at BYOAC without this boad and all the members in it and its support staff there wouldn't be a hobby such as this.

Now I built a UAII cab from scratch and let me tell you my buddy did the kit and the kit is easier for obvious reasons and probably more cost effective if you add in the labor for building from scratch. It contains a 27" Betson monitor U360's joystick's, FrontX usb ports with head phone jack, Slikstik spinner and a Happs Trackball "high ball" and a second control that looks like a spinner but is the actual control from a Frontline cab.
It also contains Plasma disc's that are sound sensative. The laminate that the cab has on its side's and control panel are Wilsonarts special laminates and it was expensive, around $180 for a 4X8 sheet. The buttons are illuminated using Pac Drives, and keyboard encoder is an  Ipac. For the FE I use Mala. The marquee light is also an Led strip from Randy's site and the speakers are from Cambridge Sound Work's which are nice and has a seperate volume control you can basically place any where and comes with a little sub.
Well enough about it here are some pics and Thanks again to everyone here.
