Star Wars Worth
« on: October 22, 2008, 09:52:57 am »
Question:  What would a Star Wars cockpit running the exact same hardware (including 19" WG6100) be worth in a cockpit in 8/10 condition versus an upright in 8.5/10 condition?   How much more do you think the cockpit would pull when selling?

Keep in mind... 19" WG monitor in both (same monitor).

How much did you buy your upright for?

Depending on that, sell it for a nice profit and use the profits to restore the cockpit. Then you can tell the wife you have a net investment of near zero.

Sometimes you just have to say "so I'll spend X on this and give you X to spend on plastic flowers and shoes".

That is always the last second desperation move...and it works.

I finally solved my wife problem though when it comes to the hobby - I just converted her to our side. Mwahhahahahahahah!!!

Wife's already appeased when I explained to her I could sell the yoke to cover the cost alone.  What I didn't tell her is that I will likely NOT sell the yoke,  but rather move everything over to the cockpit,  then patiently look for an Amp chassis and another working boardset for the upright so I can sell her whole.

...who knows.
