Subwoofer, Bass and the affect on components in my cab.

And wasn't the 2200 better than the 2300?

PC subs usually use more of a 'ported bass' than actual vibrational
power.
(Ported bass = A specially tuned tube that creates a bass sound
when air moves through it)
The only component you would have to worry about with vibrational
forces... would be the hard disks.
If you have a sub that puts out quite a bit of vibration... you would have
to suspend the drive using some sort of rubber harness or something
like that... so that the vibrations wouldnt be able to damage it.
That of course would probably only be needed if you used something
like a high power car sub, or similar.
An FYI: If the Sub is ported, it may be highly directional... and you
may not hear it very well when its enclosed in a cab. Might need to
cut a hole in the cab for the port to fire out of. Try a test run to see
how it sounds when enclosed.

Ummm...bass frequencies are the same in a ported set up or sealed. The port just makes the sub extremely efficient at the tuned frequency.
You are going to get vibrations no matter what. I have several buddies who do the whole carputer thing and they have never had an issue with their hard drives failing. I wouldn't worry about it in you cab.

"All of our systems come from large retailers as Clearance, OpenBox or High Quality Customer returns. The main reason these items cannot be sold in stores because of scuffed packaging (excess tape, small scrapes with product inside unaffected)

I buy stuff from ebay in that condition all the time and have yet to run into any problems.
