i want to buy an old pc game on amazon. but apparently they wont ship computer games out of the US (region issues maybe?). this is a PC game from 1998 so i dont know why it would matter. so im wondering if one of you who have known me a while (and can trust me

) could buy it and then i can paypal for you to send it to me. theres one on ebay but it will cost about twice as much...

if you do it, ill be your friend

edit: ok, amazon doesnt suck. just that that particular seller wont ship overseas. my problem remains...

edit edit: and i guess i can change the mailing address to yours (not sure). then i would only have to paypal you for the post to oz...

You may want to check out Good Old Games which specialize in games from around that era (appears to be games around 8-12 years old), and they're DRM free and are compatible Vista and XP. They're not open to the public yet, but they should be soon.

We might could hep ya if'n we knew WHAT you were looking for. I dunno about in Oz, but they made a TON of stuff around that time frame, and there's just no telling what you're looking for from PastLand

Odd. I ran across an article on that game like a week ago on wikipedia (after looking into "the longest journey".)

If/when you get a copy, tell me how it is, it looked good and I may want to buy a cheap copy off of ebay at some point.

I have Starship Titanic. Boxed. I just moved though and I have no idea where the box is (it's somewhere in a big heap of moving boxes). If you're not in too much of a hurry I can find it for ya.

I don't remember needing the manual.

that first link is the one i was looking at. it is about twice the price as the guy on ebay. however, i suppose once i pay for the extra freight to go from someone else in the us to me if i get the amazon one i suppose it wont be so bad...

I'm feel the same way about having all original documentation included with the game. The manual should always be included with the game.

What's with all this Amazon bashing? Some things they aren't allowed to ship internationally because of copyright reasons. That has nothing to do with Amazon. Do you really think that a company like Amazon would pass up an opportunity to make more money? There is a way around this. Just get a forwarding address. The Singapore Post gives out official forwarding addresses and are cheaper then regular mail.

Amazon kicks ass. I can always find what I'm looking for at a 'better than store' price. There is no sales tax. Shipping is free, and more than 50% of the time comes in 3 days or less. Their customer service is very good from my experiences.

I also get Gift Cards for using my credit card, so I shop there for free!

I always go to the BWITTISH amazon. They ship to much more locations.
