MAME version updates question
« on: October 13, 2008, 12:12:41 am »
Sorry for the lameness of this question, but I've got a big social event coming up tomorrow and need an answer kinda quick. Right now I have MAME .109 installed on my cab, and I know there have been tons of updates, but what has been added that would be significant enough that might warrant an update of my system and ROM sets? I'm just trying to decide if I want to update the cab before the event tomorrow or just leave it as is.

I'm just looking at major updates here, so a simple summary is just fine. Thanks to anybody that can help.

If the machine is working, I wouldn't go updating it if on a time crunch - just stating that on personal experience.  ;)  I've tried to "just do a quick update" before guests arrived and then the machine was rendered inoperable.    Darn Murphy's Law...
