when i start the simpsons rom a few seconds after the game starts it always freezes at the exact same place? anyone know what's wrong?

i tried getting the rom from another source as well... so i know the rom isnt corrupt...

Works ok for me with .70 Where exactly does it stop? Does it get into gameplay?

stops right when smithers is about to walk out at the start before gameplay begins...

this is the only rom i cant get working that i wanna play... works on this pc but not my mame one, PLEASE HELP ME! lol

Known bug, fixed in 0.70u1.

You'll have wait until 0.71 comes out, or compile your own 0.70u1, or grap a derivitive that includes the u1 update, or go back a mame version or two. $:-\$

thanks:) it happens on all the charcaters, on 2 player and 4 player... the game doesn't quit tho, it just freezes and stops before player gets control while smithers is still walking out of the building, i guess it's the same thing tho... that would fix it, i hope... any links to download the fix? or is that illegal to have here (wants to be sure) lol...

You are right. Mame .70 does not work. My oiginal check was using Mame32 which I only have at .69 My error.
