How does one tell when they have reached adulthood? They don't care about sales numbers, they just enjoy the system they bought.

I agree 100% but I do have an interest in the video game industry so I do like to keep tabs and play armchair CEO.  Personally, I'm not saying "ha, it's failing!!"  Matter of fact, a long-time favorite console by many people was the one whose eventual downfall took down an entire side of Sega (though in all fairness, the responsibility lies more with the Sega CD/32x/Saturn/Nomad/Pico/etc.).

This thing was $250 in 2003 and has a 'Pana-Black' tube that looks amazing with component or S-Video inputs so I'm in no hurry to replace it.  My parents have been trying to dump their HD ready Panasonic 32" CRT in their guest room on me for a couple of years (with the understanding that I trade them my smaller one) but that's too big for one man to carry.


Yeah, I really liked ours, we got it in 2000 from Sears in the $400 range, and it was a great TV.  I was sad to see it go.
