Timer to turn the TV on ?
« on: October 07, 2008, 04:41:46 am »
Im just about to start building my 1st cab and have been purchasing all the required components etc.

The only thing left I have to solve is the TV in bios issue and how it would not display at 31khz (?)

I plan on having a totally enclose cab so I wont be able to turn the TV on and off, I plan to have it on standby all the time.

I also want it to have one button to turn everything on, I had a little idea!!

What about making a smaller timer curcuit so that the TV turns itself on after about 1 min or less?

Would this be possible? And if so could anyone desing me  the circuit please?

I have no elcetronice experience at all.

What operating system are you using ?
Can't you just use a NO GUI boot to not show the bios at bootup?
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for y ou're reply.

I have solved this problem by doing the PCI gfx card trick, I managed to pick one up for £5 and it works perfect.
