Mala Crashes on me
« on: October 05, 2008, 02:37:26 pm »
I have installed Mala according to the instructions, built a playlist, and it will run with the standard layout. I can even select a game from the menu and it will play in Mame. But every time I try to access the Mala options (right-click on the screen and select Options) it crashes when I close the options screen. I get an unexpected error, and it says mala will now terminate.

Here is the line in the mala.exe.log file:
Code: [Select]
2008/10/05  11:24:16.31   Error: Object Class: TPopupList, Object Function: SaveFilterSets, Exception Class: EStringListError, Exception Message: List index out of bounds (-1)

None of my changes get saved, and I believe that Mala will still crash if I leave it open for a while.

I am new to Mala, so please let me know what settings/configurations you may want to see, if you can help me figure this one out. Thank you!

OK, I just noticed there is a Mala Frontend forum, and I noticed that there is a very similar error there already:

I will follow that thread for solutions.
