Neotec NT-2515C Issue
« on: October 02, 2008, 11:40:53 pm »
Hi,

I have just installed an ArcadeVGA card with a PC2Jamma interface in an Area51 Maximum force cab that I am converting into a mame machine.

The existing monitor is a Neotec NT2515C.

Using the quickrez tool I set the monitor to 640x240 16 bit and I have a stable image, but color is very non-uniform and not very vibrant on the standard windows desktop. I tried to switch to one of the 32 bit color modes, but that made the image go unstable and crazy. The interesting thing is that when it went crazy like that, the colors were looking much more vibrant from what I could see.

Is this an issue where I need degaussing? Is it a cap issue? It seemed like the games looked fine on the monitor playing off the PCB.

I would greatly appreciate any help or insight. I could also take a pic and post what it looks like too if that would help with the diagnosis.

Thanks!!!!!!!!

OK nevermind. The RGB controls were way out of whack and therefore it was causing issues. With some adjustments, everything looks pretty decent.
