Installing a Chassis...any suggestions appreciated

I have an old Electrohome 19" monitor that I bought a working chassis (G07) for. I am about to install it and since I am a total "newbie" at this, I'm worried about killing the new chassis, tube, game PCB...(and ME!).

Is there any particular steps I should take? I was planning on doing the following...
 1)   discharging the tube again
 2)   connecting the chassis to the frame
 3)   connecting the anode? (the suction cup thing)
 4)   connect the back thing that connects to the vaccum tube at the back (see, I AM a newbie) 
  5)  connect the power cable

The only thing I wouldn't yet connect is the connector cable (that allows the data to flow between the chassis and the PCB.  Am/Should I (be) able to turn on the power to see if in fact the tube with chassis is working? What should I see if it's working?

Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

isolation xformer  ?

with no sig , u may ( likely not ) have a lit screen . as long as the iso xformer ( if needed) is connected to the
monitor , there shouldn't be a problem connecting the video  .....

no need to fear electricity , yet one MUST respect it .

Don't forget to plug in the yoke cable! Same for the degausser cable.

well that was a given .....but, still a good reminder for the inexperienced.
of course, connecting the yoke is far more critical than the degaussing coil.....
