Steve Fosset's plane found
« on: October 02, 2008, 12:30:27 pm »

His plane was finally found...

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2008/10/02/sot.fossett.plane.briefing.ktxl?iref=mpvideosview

... as a result of yesterday's finding of his ID and cash:

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2008/10/02/sot.fossett.plane.briefing.ktxl?iref=mpvideosview

Does anyone have links to photos of the wreckage? I'm also interested to see a map that shows where the id was found in relation to the crash site.
NO MORE!!

I would image it would look like this one:

If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

His plane was made out of steel and it was nowhere near the crash.

This is another lie from the government.

Yeah, ask Xiaou2. There is no way someone's ID survives a plain crash.

You mean, his plane had 250,000 lbs worth of fuel onboard?

 Idiot.

It might survive a fancy crash, though.

 Idiot.

A 747 crashed into Amsterdam. They found the co-pilot in an appartment. There wasn't a single part of the plane left and the whole area burned down. Guess he was planted there too.

Yeah it was obvious. I was just referring to a similar recurring P&R joke that Xiauo2 keeps posting. Although he might be serious. It's hard to tell.

Nope.  They believe there was a fire after a fairly high speed impact in the side of the mountain.  My guess is the body could have been burned or dragged off by animals in the remote area the wreckage was found.

Which one?  He had six "balloon rides".   ;)

I don't know . . . probably the first time he went around the world.  Whichever one got the most publicity is probably the one I remember.   :P

Actually, didn't he have a couple failed attempts first?  Maybe I'm thinking about the guy who wanted to go highest in a balloon.

I think you got the right guy.  He tried six around the world balloon attempts and finally succeeded on the last one.  He definitely had media coverage for the successful one as well as some of the failed attempts.

I guess he could pilot balloons better. Wonder how much was in his wallet.

They reported the amount he had (that was found). A little over a grand in cash... It think it was like $1008.
Thats not really an unusual amount of cash to be flying with. If he planned a stop an an airport that couldn't take a credit/debit card, he probably had just enough for fuel and food.

A 747 crashed into a cemetery near here.  They found 4000 bodies.
But wasn't it fun to think you won the lottery, just for a second there???

Well no wonder it crashed .... it was obviously overloaded.
