old mame to newer version...whats better?
« on: September 29, 2008, 01:49:29 am »
I have an old version of mame32 that has been great, but I bought a tankstick, and it obviously is not compatible with old mame32. i downloaded mame32ui and it has a nice interface, but most of games don't work, and I went to a website (romhustler) to see if they are updated but no go? Is there a version of mame that uses the tanstick as a controller and also most of the old games work as well. i play more of the Pacman/donkey kong/ joust/ galaga sort of games, or is there a better site to get the roms to work with mame32iu? I am not computer savy, so it would have to be a program that you click and it downloads everything and I just move my roms to that folder, cuz I don't understand all this binary and source code stuff????.....thanks for your help!!! :dizzy:

Why not?  (It should work.)  Is it an in game problem, or a front end problem?  What version of mame32 did you have?
