Anyone else playing 'Braid' on XBLA?
« on: September 25, 2008, 09:05:15 pm »
A great combination of challenging puzzles, a beautiful soundtrack and whimsical graphics.  Played through the first level and immediately paid the points for the full game.

Unfortunately, I think that a charming little game like this may get lost in the waves of franchise sequels and other big budget titles (not that I won't be playing those, too!  ;))

I highly recommend downloading the demo.

I would also recommend this one, with the caveat that once you're done with it, you're probably going to forget all about it.  High price (for a Live Arcade game), low replay value.

Don't worry, this title didn't get lost. A LOT of people downloaded it. Good game.

I really liked the demo, but it was just too short to tempt me into spending $15 on it.

If it seems like it got lost, it's probably because everyone who bought it finished it in the first couple of days and don't have much to talk about anymore.  When it came out it seemed to get a lot of attention on the gaming sites/forums I frequent.

I only play it about a half an hour a night so to me,  it will probably seem like a longer game than it actually is.

I also stocked up on MS points last time they were on sale for $15 so I've been buying a lot of games on XBLA lately.  Shivering Isles, Bionic Commando, Braid...

Speaking of point sales, Amazon has them for %20 off right now, so now is a good time to stock up again.
