I got it on Tuesday, and tried it out for a few minutes. The game looks beautiful. I love the hand drawn style graphics. Since I only played it for a 1/2 hour or so I can't give it a quality review. From what I played so far it seems a bit repetitive, but that was only on the 1st 3 boards. I hope it gets better.

I don't really think this game can be considered "shovelware" but I guess by your definition, it means any game that belongs to a genre you don't particularly care for.  Whatever, that's cool.

At any rate, I read some decent reviews (around the 7 mark) stating that it's fun and good looking, but occasionally dull and repetitive.  I may still check it out, even if only a quick rental.

Have you PLAYED a Warioland game?

They're awful.

All of them.

I like platform games fine, stop being so sensitive.

Yeah, I honestly care not if you like it.  I'm just saying there's a difference between "shovelware" and "games you don't care for".   I'm a stickler for using these terms properly.  Shovelware is often cheaply and quickly pushed out the door, sold at discount prices.  They did put some work and discrimination into Warioland: Shake It, I assume.

And really, I never played a Wario game (except for the Wariowares).   Just bringing up my opinion of "how it looked" and the reviews it received.

Geesh, sorry I brought it up.  I didn't mean to take you away from your animated avatar collection to throw a tizz.  Have a nap.    (EDIT: Yeah, this line sounds a little harsh.  I apologize I posted in a bad mood).  ;D

this one is better. they did put some work on this one and it makes some good use of the wiimote. second boss fight was awesome

"shovelware" would be sonic games. ALL of them suck now a days and they come out like every other week.

By the way - don't get me wrong: Wii has tons of shovelware ("Hell's Kitchen" game??!!").   Then again so did the PS1, PS2 and every disc-based system.  That's the side-effect of cheap media.

EDIT: This was a pretty cool show-off of the game.  Watch the video most of the way through.   ;)  http://facefaceface.com/projects/nintendo/wario_shake_yt/091108/
