Wells Gardner 3100 S-kit 1931-SVGA Service Kit
« on: September 23, 2008, 05:44:49 am »
I have a Wells Gardner 19" monitor and they included a S-kit 1931-SVGA Service Kit with instructions. Do I need to do this?

If that kit is for your model I would say yes. I would contact Wells tech support first to see why the kit was included.

What are the specs of the monitor?

If you plan on running the monitor in SVGA (800x600) then you should use it.  If you are gonna run it in VGA (640x480) then you don't need to use it.  Here's a link somewhat describing the kit.

According to the site:
KIT AVAILABLE: Kit available upon request, which enables the CRT to go to SVGA, 35KHz, 800x600 resolution, please request PART# S-KIT 1931-SVGA in the notes of your order. No charge for this part number.

Ok, so it sounds like I need this to have the monitor display SVGA? Right now it's VGA only at 640 x 480. I don't think I want to install this kit - I'll see about contacting someone to do this work for me.
