D9200 overwrites mode settings
« on: September 19, 2008, 08:46:05 am »
Hi,

My D9200 monitor tends to overwrite various screen settings. What happens is if I change the screen size for 1 mode, I can affect the screen size of another mode. It doesn't happen with all modes, but it effectively eliminates some resolutions from being used (I don't want to constantly adjust screen size). Does anyone else have this problem? Suggestions?

Thanks,
Jim

hmmmm, eeprom issues  ( as in failing )  ?

i would think there to be independent mode storage so that ur symptom would not occur... :-\

I've seen this on mine. Apparently, for whatever technical reasons, some 'monitor modes' share geometry settings. If this is the case on yours also, you'll have to find those that don't conflict. Ah, but it's a multisync....yeah.

Thanks qrz, Ummon,

I was in contact with WG and they suggested replacing IC 103. Other than the occasional "screen sharing" the monitor has worked without a hitch. I'm somewhat reassured that someone else has this issue (that or we both have defective monitors).

My solution has been to eliminate the modes that share geometries, but I feel that I'm not getting the true value out of the monitor.  :(
