I always thought the song was of Dig Dug, but the Dig Dug song was not anywhere as annoying. So I played it on some keyboard, and recorded the tones I remember and hope any of you guys here knows the game with this sticky track:

I hated that one in the arcade. In mame, I have the other version. You know that's a Rod Sterwart song. Aiyy, the 70s.

The tune is from Pengo, but als from Digger, the Dig Dug clone for the PC back in 1983! Thats where I remember it from, and why I was searching all Dig-Dug titles for this music.
