HELP 15Khz monitor sync problem
« on: September 18, 2008, 08:46:17 pm »
After 5 nights struggling with advancemenu & advanceMame I'm getting desperate.
on my Arcade Cabinet (Original Pit Fighters with 25" Arcade Monitor)

I played around with advcfg and manually tried every possible parameter.
I succeeded in getting a still image but the problem is the starting point of the image is incorrect,
so I tried fixing it with the "Vertical Hold" pot on the monitor which worked
BUT now comes the  problem each time I start advcfg or advancemame the starting point of the screen is
different?

Here is a video to clarify, in the video I use advcfg there you see the problem each time I start the testscreen.

Attention: The video is 90° rotated.

I'm using:
-J-Pac board with a rage videocard.
-Monitor = Wells Gardner 25" GA63ADG25X (69X2084)

Used parameters:
Format 0.272 0.091 0.091 0.091 0.917 0.011 0.011 0.060
Clock 5-100 / 15.63 / 58.6      [this took me 2 nights ]

I'm not sure if it could be due to these settings
I did this with the help of http://easymamecab.mameworld.net/html/win9815k.htm
but I couldn't find all the necessary info in the manual to do all the math (I attached a scan of the specs)

I also tried using the "Fraggal's Boot CD V3.91.0F"
but that was a total mess, files missing, faulty bat files, wrongly named files ...?

I can really need some help, please  :notworthy:

thx in advance

I've got it fixed.
The problem was that you have to connect the keyboard to the JPAC.
which I didn't.
