MAME UI forgets path settings

Has anyone else experienced MAME32 or MAMEUI forgetting the path settings? The INI and CFG files are all marked for read/write modify etc (not restricted to read only) but when I exit the program and come back in later, the path settings for everything - ROMS and screen shots, fyers and marquees, samples - all revert back to the prior defaults.

Has anyone else seen this?

I've changed them and they weren't even read. Just paste the directory in there, right? I dunno.

Ive had this problem before. It only occures for me when I exit MAME32/UI by clicking the "x" button. It was solved for me by going into files/exit in the menu when ever I changed options.

This appears to ahve fixed the problem, thanks!

No Prob. Would be nice if it was in the FAQ, or if the makers of MAMEUI changed the code to accept the "x" as anything but a panic exit.
