Problems with Maximus Arcade - Can't exit games..

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem:

I built my cabinet over a year ago. For some reason I still can't exit games all of the time after playing for a short period of time.   The 'Exit Executable' button I assign just doesn't work, on my X-Arcade Tankstick or on the Keyboard itself (i had it as the letter B, or a button my X-Arcade, and I also tried 2 buttons together on the X-Arcade, one of each players side..nothing worked).

 It's very frustrating to have to ALT-CTRL-DEL to get out of a game, and reboot the system every time o(since the X-Arcade stick doesn't respond correctly after Alt+Ctl-Del and closing it) - My friends and family are pretty much stuck playing 1 game at a time.

Is anyone else having this problem? It's hard to believe my system can't handle the programs as I'm running a P4 3.2ghz with 2GB RAM, Win XP SP2, and an X-ARCADE Tankstick.

I really don't want to use a different front end as this one is by far and away my favorite. I hope someone out there can help.

Just as a side note - I took my Tankstick out a few nights ago to test a theory that MA and X-Arcade sticks may have a compatibility problem and sure enough I was able to exit games without any issues.     It sounds like a problem with X-Arcade Tanksticks (or regular sticks too maybe) and MA but I'd like to try and verify this problem with others.

Not sure if this contains any help, but theres some exit troubleshooting on the maximus website.
If this doesnt help i am sure someone at the forum there would be able to help you out!

edit: Found another person with a problem with the x-arcade together with MA, but found out you already replied to that topic saying it wasnt the anwser for you...  Perhaps a PM with your problem to mameseer at the maximus arcade forum would give you some new hints. good luck

thanks for the reply - yea I'm on the MA forums too I just figured I'd post here too to see if anyone else is having this problem - so far it looks like a pretty big bug in MA so my fingers are crossed that mameseer can figure it out and fix it

Have you tried configuring it to exit emulator with 2 buttons?  Istead of end or escape, try configuring the exit button so that when you hit player 1 and player 2 buttons at the same time it exits out of emulator back to MA.

I have a similar problem but mine is only with pc games. If I use the Exit/Quit button inside the pc game it exits the game but leaves me in a black screen. I then have to hit the exit executable key sequence that I have set up in MA. As far as MAME I don't have any issues exiting out of them back to MA.

Try to set your exit game key to use "End" to exit games. It's a work around I got from Delusional at the MA forums. As long as I exit a pc game using that key and not the Exit button in the game it works fine. Try it and let us know if that works.

I have this too sometimes with Genesis for some reason.  I have to hit exit, wait a sec, then hit it again and that will do it.  If I find out why I'll post it.
