Alpha 4120C LED Art
« on: September 04, 2008, 01:11:15 pm »
Hey gang!
Some of you might have seen some of the work I've done with my LED sign.  I've uploaded a bunch of videos to YouTube.  I'll be adding some more soon.  Lemme know what you think!

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

I have a new betabright usb by alpha. Did you create those onscreen or use some design software?

The Alpha sign can use GIFs, so I use a mix of Paint Shop Pro and Flash to make them.  Kind of a pain when trying to draw images at 120x16 pixels.

Here's a bunch of them that I've made

Mine is only 7x80, so it is very tough to make pics for. But  it fits in a cab at 25", and has 64 colors, full spectrum.

I just need to figure out how to upload gifs.

My Prolite LED is 7x65.  It loads the name of the game you are playing to the sign.  I've also made a few images for the Prolite (not GIFs) that you can find HERE.

I'm not sure if the Betabrite is the same as a Prolite, but maybe I can work with you to get it going.  I've got a ton of different files I've made for the Prolite, so maybe I can send you some and see if it works.

The BetaBright Prism is the step up. I like it. I just pulled down the AlphaNet Demo software. I got a bmp to upload, having issues with a gif.

What software did you use? I can't find a place to buy the AlphaNet software doing some google searches. That boggles the mind...
