CP Wizard Questions
« on: August 31, 2008, 10:40:44 pm »
I just set up CP Wizard and have a couple questions.  My main question is, rather than have it come up every time I hit pause, could I make it when a game is paused hit a certain key?  I could picture it getting irritating every time I pause to grab a drink or the phone having to exit out of CP Wizard.  The second question is when I view my layout ,the button groups are upside down.  I have the 7 button layout and it shows the top row of 3, when it should be the bottom row of 3.  Thanks.

If you go into options you can set a key to bring up CP Wizard.
Not sure about the layout, are using a defualt layout, or one you made your own.  You can do a preview of a game in cpwizard.  If this is still happening the preview, make sure your button images are setup with the right label.

Hope this helped.

You can also make the pause key exit cpwizard and unpause mame, though for some strange reason it never worked right on my system.

that would be perfect if it worked.  Could you tell me what menu item should do that?  I went through and basically tested every option and couldn't get it to work.  is there a faq on the program? I can't seem to find much info.

On the mame tab, "send pause key", and probably "mame output system". And on the input tab, "back key will exit menu". You'll have to compile your own mame to get it to unpause mame though. Download the source patch on the cpwizard page.
