Monitor very dim??
« on: September 08, 2008, 05:21:00 pm »
I have a QNIC CGM-2500 monitor out of a dedicated neo geo 2 slot that has a rebuilt chassis but when I power it up the picture is very dim. Has the tube gone bad??

Haha not a crazy question but yes I tried adjusting everything including the flyback. I'm not using a pc, I had it connected to the 2 slot neo and swapped it out for a nanao monitor and the picture on that is perfect.

could be tube, normally manifests as weak colours/contrast and some focus issues
i would check the big electrolitic on the neck card before making a final judgement though
