I'm guessing you want to "attempt" to hack the PS3 controller so you can start charging others for you doing this? The only problem is you do not have one of these controllers and do not want to risk wasting your own money and buying one yourself to "screw with"?

Am I going to charge for these?  Sure, I plan on adding it to my list in the BST forum once I am happy with results, and know that the hack is dependable.  That's how I fund my projects / collections.

I currently have no use for a PS3 arcade controller.  I have all of 3 games, none of which could use a custom joystick.  So, I'd like to have one out there that's going to get some use, so I can get some feedback.

And yes, like Ginsu said, you're pretty much a negative  .  So have a nice day.  I hope you get some therapy soon.

If this was posted by anyone else in exactly the same way, you would have never taken it the way you have. Hemi, I think the problem here is that you're attempts at lighthearted zingers are misguided and sound more like stinging jabs with misplaced emoticons.  You haven't caught on that the internet is not one big "Dean Martin Roast".  Tones of voice don't translate well into text.  (examples: This sounds monotone, like "Ben Stein".  THIS SOUNDS LIKE A TOURIST TALKING TO SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE.)  No emoticon will help if you don't choose your words carefully.

I tend to give you the benefit of the doubt.  With that said, you should reread what you write before submitting.   If in doubt, there's nothing wrong with adding "just kidding - SMILE" to the end of it (as Hoopz demonstrated).  And for heaven's sake, if someone misinterprets what you say and doesn't "get" your "joke", responding angrily and defensive is just running when you're on fire (i.e. it doesn't help).

I don't think there's anyone else that read this thread that didn't know EXACTLY what Haruman was offering.  Yes, he was offering to do a free hack, and also not put a controller of his own at risk.  We all realized it -- and knowing that Haruman is capable, he still had no problems getting a volunteer.  This happens all the time -- ever wonder how performance car parts get tested?  They get volunteers and entice them with free parts after the testing.  Or new parts for next to anything for that matter....  There's a risk involved with that too, and we all know about it.

ON TOPIC: @HarumaN, if you do get it working reliably, how much do you think you would charge to do it?  (Or should I PM you with this question?) 

Soul Calibur 4 (Tekken 6 and SF4 down the road) have re-whetted my appetite for fighters with proper controls.
