ps2 controller hack
« on: August 26, 2008, 01:57:52 pm »
basically i want to stick my ps2 in my arcade cabinet and have the pads wired to my existing joysicks/buttons on my cp so i can enjoy some nice fighting games like tekken etc i'm using a old pc running mame connected to scart 1 on the tv in my cab and want to plug the ps2 into scart 2
as neither would be turned on at the same time would the wires from a hacked ps2 pad conflict with the wires that are already on my joysticks/buttons that are wired to a minipac interface?
i've had a search but couldn't find the answer i need

any help
Cheers
Ross

Yes, there would possibly be interference between the two systems, even if one is turned off.  Your best bet would be to wire up a switch (like a DB25 data switch) to select the active system.
