Best solution for empty cab
« on: August 26, 2008, 01:55:07 pm »
I posted in the main forum about what I should do with an empty large ultracad cabinet.  I was considering a NAOMI board, but because of budget issues hardware and games are just too much money.

I'm considering a MAME setup, but realized that my CP is a standard fighting setup.  Will I still be able to play some of the older games that use a 4 way joystick?  I still want to be able to play galaga, pacman, etc etc if possible without adding extra buttons or joysticks.  Is that possible?

Putting a NAOMI in isn't as expensive as you think. I converted my Mame cab back to JAMMA and have loved it ever since. You can find NAOMI cheaply in forums. I started with one and it kinda snowballed as I found deals made trades etc.

That was my first choice, but after checking on ebay for naomi deal I couldn't find anything under $300 not including games.   :dunno

Only use E-Bay as a last resort. I would post forum links but I dunno if it is a violation or not but feel free to pm and I'll get you started
