K7000 series, Shutdown
« on: August 26, 2008, 01:25:43 pm »
I have a K7000 that I was adjusting the setting on when I accidently let my hand touch the frame.  I got a little zap and then I lost the picture completely and smelled something burn.
I replaced IC4 and now it turns on for a brief second and then shutdown.
Anyone know what fried? :banghead:

You got zapped when you touched the frame?

Something isn't wired correctly.

I replaced the HOT(Q11, I think is what it says), then turned it on and it didnt even try to turn on, but R103 started to smoke, and the large white cement resistor got really hot, so I immediately turned it off.

Is this wired to an isolation transformer?
