Arcade auction Sept 6 Kingsport TN
« on: August 19, 2008, 12:18:48 pm »
Here we go again.. auction attendance #3.

17 days and counting. Sept 6, Kingsport, Tennessee "Auction Game Sales" is the proprietors..

These always range from the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm going to try to pre-shop the place by going in during move-in time, get some pix.. come on here, post them and assist in bidding.. if you want.

Even better, come to the thing yourself.  I live 1/2 hour away, so it's a moot point whether or not I go..  ;D

Then stop by here and get that glass Galaga monitor bezel you've always wanted, but was afraid to ship..
and bring by that cocktail glass you don't need..

The usual suspects are overpriced (pac-anything) , ridiculous (NIB pinballs)  and
humoungous (crane games 2 kids could crawl into for $10)..

I generally go there for the gutted conversions that no OP wants to take  up room on their truck returning with,
when they can get x working game.. works out for me :) One of these days I'll get the right combo of 'needs fuse' and 'original'.

Anyhow.. the plan is to go the night before, survey as much as I can (a lot of folks end up moving in their stuff the morning of the auction) take pictures, and host a discussion here.  Remember, if you see the geek with the Atari Star Wars T-Shirt, stop bidding :)
If you order a pizza, put 1 quarter in their Galaga and the pizza's done before you are, you might be a video game junkie.. if you offer to tweak the crt , definitely.
