disassembling an Happ's universal joystick
« on: August 11, 2008, 10:38:52 pm »
Hello everybody

I feel stupid for asking this question here, but how do you disassemble the universal joystick from Happcontrols
http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/universal_joy_e.htm (I'm trying to mount it in a control panel)
I managed to remove everything except from separating the 'lower base' from the 'upper base' and I fear breaking the thing by using brute strength  :)

Does anyone know how to properly disassemble it ?

p.s sorry for the poor english

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

I just recorded this with my wife's assistance. Hopefully it will help:

P.S. I'm in shorts. Have no fear, this is a family site!

Thanks for the super fast answer :)
Last time I tried to rotate the lower base, it wouldn't move.

I'll try brute force as soon as I get home :)

Just grab the base and twist counter-clockwise.
