First post on a forums is to say Hyperspin is "the best front end i never saw"

That's what I thought, I think they will be releasing a large torrent with everything in a package (excluding emu's and rom's of course). From memory it will be around 600 MB. The torrent is probably up already and getting seeded ready for release. Looking forward to finally checking it out

BTW I don't call it a "propaganda campaign" I call it a "marketing team"

Ok, you guys really don't need to be ---uvulas--- all the time do you?  Doing a quick search on BYOAC for various front end names you get the following:

HyperSpin: less than 1 page
AtomicFe: 15 pages
Mala: 25 pages - it has its own freaking forum!
Mamewah: 25 pages
Khameleon: 1 page

You guys are mods here on BYOAC nor are you forum police.  You have no rights telling people what kind of threads to make.  You are not forced to read a specific thread and no one is going to force you to.  If you see a thread that you don't want to read or look at then simply IGNORE it and it will eventually move off the first page.  Your idiotic responses only BUMP a thread UP, and the more you respond to a thread that you don't like the more attention the thread will get.

Learn how a forum works you "NewB".

Dazz I think that we've had a number of posts where people think they are announcing HS for the first time and I think thats all that people are responding to, not the number of threads related to HS. There doesn't need to be mutiple threads like that especially if your new to the boards and didn't even bother doing a search first.

Just wanted to say congrats to Bill and the HS crew for the release! Looking forward to finally checking out all the months of work you guys have been up to

Well, the thing is... you are going to have people excited to see something new and somewhat different than what is currently out there.  They will post about it even if there are other threads.  Being a mod/admin on BB ranked forums has shown me that you are not going to stop someone from posting a new thread no matter what you do.  Unfortunately, none of us have the authority to tell someone not to make a new announcement thread...  If you see another one, the best thing to do is to simply ignore it instead of bumping it and giving it more exposure.

I agree that newbies will often make posts without searching first, or cross posting, double posting etc., but it doesn't mean it's not annoying when they do it. I've been a mod/admin on several forums myself and agree it's part of the daily grind but it doesn't mean people should have to ignore it or not comment about it. In most cases I will just link back to the previous post and lock it but certainly no need to get upset about it  

BTW I do think you guys should make a new post and announcement about the official release though.

I am actually about to do this once I can remember how to upload to newsgroups again...  It's been a long time since I uploaded anything.

I think it was several time people posted without checking.... And personality I doesn't like when people claim which product that is the best, which I also have seen that in jukebox as well. That why I never claimed my product is the best and is not intended.

I do agree to create a new OFFICEL thread about Hyperspin with a good subject. both in main as well software forum. The first annonce project subject is not very descriptive and might not have been noticed by new users (Welcome).
