24" control panel layout is it possible??
« on: August 02, 2008, 06:57:08 pm »
I am finally working on my cab I have had in storage for a year and was wondering, is it possible to fit the 7 button layout (street fighter + neo geo) for 2 players on a 24" control panel. The cab I have is a 2 button 2 player and would like the 7 button if it is possible. The panel I have room for is 24" x 9" and that would drop in without any major modifications. any links to panel layouts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Not much real estate for 9".  Thing is to just make sure player I & II arent too far off set from the center of the screen.  Even with 24" to work with...  But that should be okay.  I think the TMNT, NBA Jam cabs are 36" X 16" which are 4 player, so your close to that....

Thing to remember is elbow room.

Thanks.
Elbow room is an issue at times, but nothing too bad. I didn't want to cut the cabinet in any way, since it was originally a Centuri Track and Field (no parts, just the cab and the coin door). I felt bad enough painting it black and moving the monitor shelf upright.

Hey Ginsu, how many arcades do you have, if that is okay to ask?

I own ZERO arcades.

I do, however, own one arcade CABINET.
