Two "New" Cabinets (Video)
« on: July 29, 2008, 07:51:20 pm »
I do not know how much restoration I will be able to do on them, but I recently got two arcade machines.

In spite of just being recently laid off, I bought this little beauty just this past Friday.

(The Sinistar thing is just a bit of an inside joke at the Chex Quest Fan Forums.)

By chance, after I got it home, I recognized that particular cabinet as one that had been in a local arcade for many years.

I also was given another machine by the husband of one of my coworkers about three months ago (before I was laid off).  Because I have no room for it (Please not the angled ceiling in the video above.), I have been keeping it out at my brother's place.  There it had a close call with some flooding that ruined a number of the walls around it, but the feet happened to be fully extended, and it managed to stay above the water.

Here's more video ...

So that's what I am playing with at the moment.

Wish me luck.

Wow, what a couple of fun machines. Would've been nice to find that playfield somewhere in the floor of that baby pacman machine eh? Nice score on both counts!

Great use of the angled ceiling was great.

One other thing... about the audio on the first video. A bit high. But a good video nonetheless, very descriptive!

I dropped my hat and groves, stooped down to pick them up, then tried to stand back up.
